Resurrection Baptist Church is missioned to transforming lives by the power of His Holy Spirit… How do we accomplish this? By outreach, relationship, worship, discipleship, stewardship and fellowship.
Resurrection Baptist Church was one of the grant recipients of President Obama’s “My Brother’s Keeper Initiative” – “I Choose Me” Mentoring Program, offered by the United States Office of Juvenile Justice and Detention Prevention (OJJDP) under the auspices of Metro Mentoring, San Diego, California.
This is a 2- year grant program that is focused on providing a hands-up to our youth while developing an infrastructure of success within the confounds of our community. Through this initiative, Resurrection will offer children a chance to grasp and hold onto opportunities that many have given their lives for. Remember, it takes a village… and we are the Hope that evolves from their legacy.
Resurrection Baptist Church was also one of the grant recipients of the City of Philadelphia’s Meals & More Collaboration Program. Under this program Resurrection engaged in a contractual agreement to “Feed the Hungry” an additional day for a period of not less than one year.
Resurrection Baptist Church has been awarded certificates for the past 5 years for having the most walkers and runners in the Annual Walk and Run against Hunger Program
that is held in April of each year.
We invite you to share in our vision for success in these initiatives.
